Helping Parents build better lives for their children…
You can make a difference to a family in your community.
Many parents need help, friendship, advice or support during those early years when children are young. Your experience as a parent can help other parents.
Home-Start provides a unique service for families – recruiting and training volunteers to support parents with young children.
Do you have a few hours to give each week?
Would you consider being a friend to a family?
New Volunteer training course starts on Monday 26th September.
Deorfrith Lodge, Lyndhurst.
9:30 – 2:30 every Monday for 8 weeks.

The cards cost £4 for a pack of 10, £8 for a pack of 20 with each pack containing both designs. Perhaps you may be able to sell some to family and friends.

SAVE THE DATE – THURSDAY 1ST OCTOBER
Our annual Autumn gathering will take place on THURSDAY 1st OCTOBER, from 9.00 am until lunchtime. But we have a new venue this year. We will be setting up in Godshill Village Hall, opposite the Fighting Cocks, on the road to Woodgreen. A fantastic place from which to set off on all sorts of beautiful walks, and enjoy our wonderful Forest and the company of friends.
This will be our final fundraising event of the year in aid of Home-Start New Forest. We’ve been so very proud to support this fantastic charity which does such amazing work to support young families who are struggling to cope. So bring a Fiver to receive a map of suggested walking routes, a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of something naughty but nice, plus some extra money as we will be selling all sorts of garden produce, as well as cakes and quiches, jams and jellies. If you have anything you would be willing to donate to help our sale, we would be enormously grateful.
As so many of you will know, it’s a great opportunity to stretch the legs, walk the dogs and have a good social get-together. We will be suggesting two walks: one short and one rather longer, so take your choice. Oh, and the blackberries won’t be over, so bring some small bags too.
Local Property Index is a property search engine and everyone who uses it (by requesting house details) will be able to chose which charity they want to support.
They have included Home-Start New Forest as one the charities that visitors to their website are able to support so if you, or anyone you know, is thinking of moving house please direct them to Local Property Index using the link below.
This is what the company says “LocalPropertyIndex.com is proud to support Home-Start New Forest. LocalPropertyIndex is property portal based in Southampton with a wide range of property for rent and houses for sale in Southampton”
We are very grateful for their support.
